Creative Futures is an exciting and innovative new project using creativity and local history to provide opportunities for people living within the Lochside & Lincluden areas of North West Dumfries to develop their skills, develop their local area, increase their opportunities, improve their quality of life, connect with one another, try out new experiences, and thrive as a community.
Creative Development Worker
As Public Art project worker I provide creative support for all of the Creative Futures projects in Lochside and Lincluden. I trained as a Graphic Designer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, and when living in Glasgow prior, I undertook training on the Impact Arts Community Arts Training Programme. I have a great passion for both art and design, and I enjoy bringing these skills together to support Creative Futures. I am passionate about finding ways to help others to be creative, express themselves and take positive action to make their local area and town a great place to live.
Public Art project worker
I am the Community Engagement worker, I am tasked with keeping everyone up to date and enthusiastic about what we are doing at Creative Futures. As a Photographer I bring my skills to teach and facilitate the Photography groups for adults,
the Junior Photography group, as well as D&D (Dungeons & Dragons)
Which are run along with #LIFT (Lochside Is Families Together)
I am also the ChairPerson for #LIFT, which is a community led group run to help the people of Lochside & Lincluden who may be struggling with Poverty or Loneliness.
